Effective date: July 13, 2026
1. Acceptance
By installing, accessing, or using SafeBox, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SafeBox.
2. What SafeBox provides
SafeBox provides tools for local encrypted storage of user-selected information and media, optional encrypted backup to supported cloud providers, device-to-device transfer, security alerts, and related features. Features may vary by version, device, country, purchase status, and third-party availability.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally able to accept these terms and meet the minimum age required for digital services in your country. If you use SafeBox on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
4. License
Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use SafeBox for lawful purposes. You may not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer where prohibited, circumvent security or payment controls, or use the app to violate another person’s rights.
5. Your security responsibilities
- You are responsible for safeguarding your device, master PIN, recovery code, email credentials, and cloud accounts.
- SafeBox may be unable to recover your encrypted data if you lose required credentials or recovery information.
- You should test backups and keep independent copies appropriate to the importance of your data.
- You must not share a recovery code or decrypted backup with an untrusted person.
- You are responsible for ensuring sufficient device and cloud storage space.
6. Camera, intrusion alerts, and lawful use
You must use camera, recording, intrusion-alert, disguise, and nearby-device features lawfully and with any notice or consent required in your jurisdiction. SafeBox must not be used for unlawful surveillance, harassment, impersonation, or collection of information you are not entitled to collect.
7. Cloud, email, and third-party services
Google Drive, Dropbox, Google Play, email services, nearby-device platforms, advertising providers, and other third parties are governed by their own terms and policies. Their availability, authorization, quotas, pricing, outages, and account decisions are outside our control. Disconnecting SafeBox from a provider does not necessarily delete files already stored with that provider.
8. Purchases and Pro features
Some features require a Pro purchase or another entitlement shown in the app. Purchases are processed by Google Play or another disclosed store. Prices, taxes, refunds, cancellations, and payment methods are governed by the store’s terms and applicable law. Removing advertisements does not automatically grant all Pro features unless the purchase description expressly says so.
9. Backups and data integrity
SafeBox is designed to authenticate and encrypt backups, but you remain responsible for checking that a backup was created successfully and can be restored. Hardware failure, operating-system behavior, storage-provider changes, network interruption, insufficient storage, user error, or lost credentials may prevent backup or restoration.
10. Prohibited conduct
You may not use SafeBox to break the law; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; distribute malware; attack, interfere with, or overload systems; bypass licensing or security mechanisms; misrepresent your identity; or upload content you have no right to possess or transfer.
11. Updates and changes
We may update, replace, limit, or discontinue features to improve security, comply with law, respond to third-party changes, or maintain the application. Updates may be required for continued use of cloud or security features.
12. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeBox is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or able to recover data in every situation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of data, credentials, revenue, or opportunity; or failures caused by devices, operating systems, networks, cloud providers, email providers, app stores, or other third parties. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for SafeBox during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using SafeBox at any time. We may restrict access to online or licensed features where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, legal requirements, security threats, or payment issues. Termination does not automatically delete local data or data stored with third-party providers.
15. Governing rules
These terms are governed by applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections and local jurisdiction rules continue to apply. Before bringing a formal claim, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date will be revised, and material changes may be announced through the app or website. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
